FAQ
Questions, answered without hedging
The first two questions are the ones that decide whether this tool is any use to you, so they are first.
Does it tell me whether to quote the job?
No. It reports what is wrong with the package. Whether to quote, at what price, and whether to accept the customer's requirements stay with the estimator — that is the boundary the product is built around, not a limitation bolted on afterwards.
Does it tell me what to charge?
No. It does not quote, price, cost, margin, or make a bid/no-bid recommendation, and it does not read a CAD solid or connect to an ERP. If you need a number produced, this is the wrong tool.
How do I know a value in the report is actually in my file?
Every value has a source link that opens the exact line, page, sheet or cell it was read from. A value reaches the report only if that segment exists, the quoted text appears verbatim in it, and the value is supported by that quote. If it fails any of those it is dropped and the report shows a dash.
What does a dash in the report mean?
It means the value could not be established from the package. It does not mean the field is absent from your RFQ — that is a separate finding — and it never means a guess.
Where does my RFQ content go?
Uploaded files are stored privately, read once, and deleted from storage as soon as the report is built, including when a request fails. The report remains until it expires, and you can delete it from the report page at any time. Document content is sent to the AI model provider configured for this deployment, and nowhere else.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no signup, no password and no profile. You get a report link, and that link is the only thing you need to keep.
What file types can it read, and what happens to a scan?
PDF, XLSX/XLS/CSV, text and pasted email, and JPG/PNG. Files are typed by their magic bytes, not by their extension. A scanned PDF or a photograph of a drawing is read by vision rather than skipped, and a file that genuinely cannot be read is reported as unreadable instead of quietly ignored.
How long does a check take?
Usually under a minute for a full package. The page shows which stage it is on, and if something stalls there is a direct link to the report so you are never stranded on a spinner.
What if the model provider is unreachable?
The run is marked as degraded, field extraction is skipped, and the file-structure findings that were established are still reported — with a visible notice on the report rather than a quietly thinner one. A report that says it ran degraded is more useful than one that pretends.
How large a package can it take?
Up to 12 files, 10 MB per file and 25 MB per package. Those limits exist to protect the service; they are not a tier boundary and they do not change what you can check.
Is this on-premise?
No. It runs as a Cloudflare Worker and your package is sent to a model provider. If your drawings cannot leave your network, this is the wrong tool and the security page will tell you exactly what leaves and when.
Can I see a report before I upload anything?
Yes — the samples page has five fictional packages, each built around one real failure mode, and you can open the report each one produces. They are generated by the same code the test suite asserts on.
Still unanswered? Ask — or read security and data handling first, since that is usually what the next question is about.
